Laser Treatment

Laser therapy (photobiomodulation) is used in rehabilitation to help modulate cell function. Lasers have been studied to help accelerate wound and joint healing, to promote muscle regeneration, nerve regeneration and stimulation, aid in pain control, post operative healing.

Laser therapy typically starts with 2-3 treatments a week, depending on the type and severity of the condition being treated and should then eventually be decreased to 0nce a week then once every 2 weeks.

Some patients are able to stop treatment after the issue is resolved but in some cases like arthritis the patient may require treatment long term.
